After lunch, we spoke about the project objectives, it was presented to us the agenda of the project (time and thematic of the sessions, time for the meals and breaks as well as the thematic and time for the evening activities). After that, we discussed the methodology of the program and more about non-formal education, the main method which is going to be used for achieving the objectives of this project. By non-formal education we mean any organised educational activity outside the established formal system – whether operating separately or as an important feature of some broader activity – that is intended to serve identifiable learning clienteles and learning objectives.
In order to understand better what is Non-formal education, we have created a mind map through brainstorming on a flipchart. In the centre of the flipchart, we wrote Non–Formal Education and we draw lines starting from the circle with words in relation to what NFE means. Some of the ideas mentioned by the participants in regards to what do they think about NFE, what does it mean, its focus or how learning is achieved.
Then we started with a team-building activity, by playing mission impossible. We were supposed to work together as a group but we didn’t really understand the instructions so we split up into smaller groups and stressfully started doing the assignments. just before finishing we found out we should work together and we were a bit mad at ourselves for stupidly working alone, but we laughed it of.
After mission impossible, it was coffee break and afterward we had time to prepare our NGO presentations via a fashion show. We loved that we could be creative and we all made interesting presentations, not just boring PowerPoint. We had lots of fun presenting and hearing about other organizations.
After the presentations, we had dinner and lots of free time to prepare for our passion night. We brought out our best dresses and headed out to the party room. We danced and talked and had fun until dawn. Can’t wait to see what the next day will bring.
