It is Sunday, 22nd of August 2021, and all the groups from around Europe are arriving in Skopje in order to head out to Popova Shapka for the youth exchange “It is All About Love”. Some people are ‘fighting’ to be on time, but others are already here and getting amazed by Skopje even on a hot August day.
Somehow, all of us except the group from Hungary (don’t worry they came by car) were on time at the pick-place in Skopje where a bus was waiting for us to take us to the mountains in Popova Shapka. Everyone seemed so excited and getting to know each other is started immediately on the bus with everyone sharing their trip stories and excitement to be participating on an international project during a global pandemic.
The first welcome/meeting shaking hands is becoming real and the Hotel is getting alive with the feeling of good energy and positiveness. We got introduced to the project team and important technicalities said our names to the others by playing name games and shared our travel stories. Besides the names, we learned a few things about our lives and the countries were are all coming from.
After the dinner a welcome party is getting organized, some snacks, some drinks, nice music and good mood, only happy faces full of curiosity you can see all around.
Time is passing by, so all of us have to get some rest, after a long journey for most of us, so we all be fully charged for the next day, the first day when we start with the serious work. Everybody is going to their rooms, so sweet dreams to everybody.
